The purpose of this EEO Public File Report is to comply with Section
73.2080(c) (6) of the FCC’s 2003 EEO Rule. This report has been prepared
on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of the
Following Station(s): WBXQ(FM), Patton, PA, WBRX(FM), Cresson, PA, WRTA(AM) and WKMC(AM) Altoona PA, and is required to be placed in the pubic inspection files of these stations, and, if they have websites, posted on their websites,.
The information contained in this Report covers the time period beginning
March 29, 2015 to and including March 28, 2016.

The FCC’s 2003 EEO Rule requires that this Report contain the following
1. A list of all full-time vacancies filled by the Station(s)
comprising the Station Employment Unit during the Applicable Period;
2. For each such vacancy, the recruitment source(s) utilized to fill
the vacancy (including, if applicable, organizations entitled to
notification pursuant to Section 73.2080 (c) (1) (ii) of the new EEO Rule,
which should be separately identified), identified by name, address,
contact person and telephone number;
3. The recruitment source that referred the hiree for each full-time
vacancy during the Applicable Period;
4. Data reflecting the total number of persons interviewed for
full-time vacancies during the Applicable Period and the total number of
interviewees referred by each recruitment source utilized in connection
with such vacancies; and
5. A list and brief description of the initiatives undertaken pursuant
to Section 73.2080 (c) (2) of the FCC rules.
Appendices 1, 2 and 3, which follow, have been designed, in the
aggregate, to provide the required information. Please note that the
numbers listed on Appendix 2 under “Full-time positions for
Which This Source Was utilized” refer to the number of the
full-time job positions listed on Appendix 1.
For purposes of this Report, a vacancy was deemed “filled” not when
the offer was extended but when the hiree accepted the job offer. A
person was deemed “interviewed” whether he or she was interviewed in
person, over the telephone or by e-mail.

Recruitment Activities undertaken by:

The Penn State Altoona Career Fair is an opportunity for students to
speak with area businesses about internships and various careers. Diane Boslet,
The Station Manager, met and spoke with several interested students at Penn State University about many different career choices and what training is needed to enter in the Broadcasting /Radio field and what was available in the communication field in this area. Received 4 Resume and Interviewed 1 students for full time sales position

Diane Boslet, former Station Manager, received 2 resumes and interviewed 1 student scheduled from career opportunity program that sponsored at the at the Altoona Penn State Campus for a full time Sales Position

The stations held a career day open house at the station location, 2513 6th Avenue, Altoona, PA we received 3 resumes and interviewed 1 person

There were several station tours conducted throughout the year. Each group
was led through the building by a station employee who told the group
about each department and what positions existed, and what kind of training
is needed for each position. The groups got to see the business departments, talk with several department heads, as well as the inner workings of an on-air position. Those touring the station also have the opportunity to ask our on-air personalities and the executives questions about broadcasting, communication and a radio career choice.
Groups who toured the station included:

Altoona Area High School Jazz Band.

Diane Boslet, former General Manager, every year, assisted a non-profit organization (Maddies Journey) in training and mentoring their marketing dept. with employment and career search maintenance along with “how to” market your business and hire the right people. How to market for non profit business. Held web seminars with question and answer period

Diane Boslet, former General Manager, attended one Career Enhancement Seminar sponsored by RAB and / or PAB covering the following subjects:
Radio Sales, how to manage your sales staff and how to reach management levels in Broadcasting Also took a 4 webinars for education based on radio sales, how to sell streaming and1 on social media selling (from LBS)

Diane Boslet, spoke with students (6th Year) in the Work Program at the PCHS. She spoke to over 15 high school sophomores and juniors about radio advertising, marketing and Media job opportunities, how to make an impact with marketing and using Radio along with other media. Covered all areas of employment available in the Communication field.

Diane Boslet, former General Manager, attended a yearly PAB EEO Seminar, and a FCC/ Public File Seminar to further educate her knowledge on Broadcasting requirements in EEO, Public File Requirements plus other FCC requirements for broadcasters. These PAB seminars are to help further educate her knowledge of her position held within the company along with keeping up with new and updated equipment, programs and requirements in the radio field
